Professor Ronald R. Price was a trailblazer in Canadian correctional law and a beloved member of the Queen’s University Faculty of Law. In 1973, he founded the Queen’s Correctional Law Project, a ground-breaking initiative that provided legal assistance to inmates in Kingston-area penitentiaries. Under his supervision, law students gained hands-on experience advocating for incarcerated individuals. His legacy continues today through the Queen’s Prison Law Clinic. After Professor Price’s retirement in 1996, he developed the Queen’s Law Students’ Mediation Service in 1997, and co-founded the Mediation Centre of Southeastern Ontario in 2001.

. A public visitation will take place at the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd, Kingston, Ontario on Friday August 15, 2025, starting at 1:00pm until 2:50pm. The family welcomes guests to offer condolences during this time.
